Membership of the College of Fellows of the Institute & Elections into Executive Offices

Subject:    MEMBERSHIP OF THE COLLEGE OF FELLOWS OF THE INSTITUTE AND ELECTIONS INTO EXECUTIVE OFFICES

Fellows of the Institute are hereby invited to submit applications for admission into membership of the College of Fellows. The College of Fellows is an arm of the Institute, having distinguished personalities as its members. It is a social forum through which Fellows of the Institute interact for social and professional networking for the benefit of individual members and the Institute at large. Please see the attached document titled “About College of Fellows” for detailed information on the College and why you should belong to it.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
i)    Form and Registration        -    NGN20,000
ii)    Fellows’ Blazer (jacket)     -    NGN30,000
iii)    Lapel                             -     NGN 3,500
iv)    Operational Guidelines    -     NGN 1,500
                            Total              NGN55,000

Payment for membership application should be made by direct cash lodgment into First Bank A/c No. 2022997719.  Account name: Chartered Institute of Administration.

ELECTIONS INTO EXECUTIVE OFFICES
There will be election of officers into the following vacant executive offices of the College on Thursday, 8th December, 2016 at Golden Tulip Hotel, Festac, Lagos.

i)    Vice Chairman
ii)    Secretary
iii)    Financial Secretary
iv)    Asst. Financial Secretary
v)    Public Relations Officer
vi)    Chief Whip
vii)    Welfare Officer
viii)    Internal Auditor

Please Note: For the purpose of guidance, and in order to ensure proper take-off of the College, offices of the Inaugural Chairman and Treasurer will be temporarily occupied by members of the Governing Council of the Institute.  These offices will soon after, be relinquished (in due course) and declared open for election.

CRITERIA/REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTION
1.)    Candidates contesting for executive positions of the College of Fellows must have been Fellows of the Institute for at least two years, and must have been admitted into the membership of the College of Fellows.

2.)    Candidates must have two (2) sponsors who must also be members of the College of Fellows.

Interested candidates should please return their completed Election Application Form to the National Secretariat on or before 30th November 2016.

Membership of our Institute can be gained only by passing the institute’s professional membership qualifying examination the ACIA and fulfilling the practical experience requirement.

Layer-9

Diploma in Business Studies (DBS)

Its Objective is to develop fundamental knowledge in the theory and practice of general business organization, the Nigeria business organization, and the functional areas of business organization

Layer-10

ACIA Professional Certificate

Its objectives are to:

  1. Train Chartered Administrators for entitites in manufacturing, commercial or service organizations, in the public or private sector of the economy
  2. To examine whether prospective members have an adequate knowledge, understanding and mastery of the stated body of knowledge or skills
  3. To complement the institute's practical experience requirements
