Highly Esteemed Invited Guests,
Gentlemen of the Press,
Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen.
I have the honour and pleasure to welcome you to this splendid annual Administrators’ dinner party organized by Chartered Institute of Administration. Tonight indeed, is really going to be an exceptional evening for positive interchange of ideas and development of long-lasting mutual friendship while dinning and discussing issues of national importance.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have come here today from divers walks-of-life, divers disciplines and careers, divers religions and ethnicities. It is because we have a common language; we have a common mission, and we have a common goal. Professional Administration is our common language, our common mission is to take our beloved Institute to newer and greater heights and transform it into a leading world-class Professional body and our common goal is to ensure a sustainable national economic growth and social development through Professional Administration.
This evening is going to be a very remarkable one as we are going to be listening to a dinner lecture titled: “Administration in the Public and Private Sector of the Economy: Challenges and Solutions” by one of the very best Leaders, Experts and Professionals in our time. You will all agree with me that the future of any country, government, corporate establishment and institution is dependent on the leader’s foresight and business acumen. Our dear country Nigeria deserves the best leadership supported by disciplined, dedicated and committed followers.
Suffice to remind ourselves at this juncture that Chartered Institute of Administration, chartered by Act No. 103 of 1992 (Now Cap C7, LFN 2004) is empowered to regulate the training and practice of Administration within a professional membership framework throughout Nigeria.
As a Professional body, we must continue to train and retrain our members on current best practices in Professional Administration. We must also continue advising the government on the benefits of Professional Administration in Nigeria which if embraced and applied, will enhance in the delivery of the dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
Let me conclude my speech by encouraging you to remain good ambassadors of the Institute in your respective endeavours as I welcome you to an evening of celebration and enjoyment.
Thank you for listening. God bless you all.
Adm. Samson Oyedapo Olopade, FCIA
President/Chairman of Council
