PROGRAMME RATIONALE

The raising fear of failure has put pressure on organizations to reinvent strategies aimed at strengthening its service delivery, accountability and transparency initiatives.

It is pertinent to note that some traditional attitudes, beliefs and practices hamper the efficient and effective approach to productivity and service delivery. When systems are transparent, everyone understands the criteria for action; the organization will surely survive in a turbulent organizational environment.

Decisions should be made by the Administrators compelling employees to exhibit total commitment, loyalty to their organization and develop positive attitude to their peers and superiors in the course of their job performance as necessary requirements for improved service delivery, accountability and transparency.

This workshop is therefore designed to sharpen the skills of participants in making result-oriented decisions that will stimulate effective work ethics, support quality service delivery and expected transparency in job performance.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • discuss the concept of transparency, accountability and their relationship with service delivery;
  • analyze the impact of work ethics on service delivery improvement;
  • identify factors that negatively affect attitude to work;
  • formulate strategies for improving work ethics and enhancing employees attitude to work positively;
  • develop skills for decision-making techniques; and
  • build quality decisions on customer service delivery.

  • Overview of Work Ethics, Decision-making and Impacts on Improving Service Delivery, Transparency and Accountability.
  • Administration Strategies for Transparency and Accountability Towards Effective Service Delivery.
  • Framework for Decision-making Towards Effective Work Ethics in the Organization.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The workshop is mandatory for CIA members and attracts credit hours. It is equally relevant to CEOs, Administrators, Accountants, Auditors, Regulatory Compliance Officers, Risk Managers, General Managers, Heads of Departments, Purchasing Managers, Marketing Executives/Managers, Finance Managers/Directors, Top/Senior Executives, and Civil Servants in all public establishments of the economy.

LEARNING METHODOLOGIES

Lectures, discussions, Syndicate work, Case studies and exercises. Audio-visual aids will be used to reinforce these training/learning methods.
