Modern organization are becoming necessarily cost conscious and is constantly in search of new ways of controlling cost and eliminating wastes and successful organization are those who recognize and understand the dynamics of supply chain as the key to success.
Many organizations have neither failed or unable to achieve the goals for which they were established due to poor cost management.
Cost consideration plays a vital role in the fiscal health of an organization.
In some cases huge financial resources have been wasted due to inadequate cost reduction and cost control strategy.
It is noteworthy that supply Chain Administration sustains the movement and struggle of raw materials work-in progress inventory and finished goods from point to point of consumption including all costs involved in the value chain.
Supply Chain undoubtedly are available component of cost management, and must be monitored.
This workshop is therefore designed to equip participants with relevant skills that will enable them control and reduce cost through information communication technology and Supply Chain Administration concepts.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• explain the basic concept of supply chain
• state the role of supply chain administration/manager in an organization
• explain the concept of cost reduction and management
• develop central system for reducing cost in supply chain through information communication technology
• evaluate the role of budgeting in cost management

• The Role of Professional Administration in Ensuring Effective Supply Chain and Cost Reduction
• Understanding Cost Concept and Minimizing Cost Through Effective Supply Chain Administration using Information Communication Technology.
The workshop is mandatory for CIA members and attracts credit hours. It is equally relevant to CEOs, Administrators, Accountants, Auditors, Regulatory Compliance Officers, Risk Managers, General Managers, Heads of Departments, Purchasing Managers, Marketing Executives/Managers, Finance Managers/Directors, Top/Senior Executives, and Civil Servants in all public establishments of the economy.
Lectures, discussions, Syndicate work, Case studies and exercises. Audio-visual aids will be used to reinforce these training/learning methods.
