INTRODUCTION |
The non-Graduates Regular Qualifying Examination Course + B.Sc is offered by Nigerian College of Administration, as well as all other Approved Teaching Centres (ATC’s) located in various cities throughout the Federation; commencing in January, May and September each year, or on such other dates as announced by the College.
The course is available on Full Time, Part Time (Weekends) and Distance Learning; leading to the awards of ACIA Professional Qualifications by Chartered Institute of Administration.
CORPORATE PROFILES |
1.0 Chartered Institute of Administration
Chartered Institute of Administration is a professional and examining body chartered by Federal Government Act No. 103 of 1992 (now Act of National Assembly Cap C7 Laws of Federation of Nigeria 2004). The Act empowers the Institute to regulate the training in, and practice of, Administration within a professional framework throughout Nigeria.
The Institute’s qualifications are accredited and graded by Federal Ministry of Education for employment in all sectors of the economy.
The Institute is governed by a Council of members, including a representative of the Honourable Minister of Education.
2.0 Nigerian College of Administration
Nigerian College of Administration is statutorily recognized as the official professional education and training school of Chartered Institute of Administration, offering registered students approved courses of study to qualify as Chartered Administrators. The recognition is contained in the Chartered Institute of Administration Regulations published in the Federal Republic of Nigeria Official Gazette No. 28 Vol. 84 of 25th April, 1997.
ACIA PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING AWARDS |
Candidates who successfully complete the ACIA Professional Qualifying Course will be awarded the following qualifications of Chartered Institute of Administration:
a) Chartered Professional Examination Diploma in Administration (CPDA), specifying the candidates’ faculties of specialisation.
b) Chartered Associate Professional Membership (ACIA).
c) Public Practising License for engaging in self-employment as a Chartered Administrator in Management Consultancy Practice, covering a wide range of Professional Administration Specialisms, namely: Management Accounting/Business Financial Advisory Services, Management Development, Marketing/Sales Administration, Human Resource Administration, Procurement and Supply Administration, Enterprise Research and Development, etc..

SUBJECTS OF STUDY |
The subjects of study for the Professional Qualifying Examinations are listed under each faculty of Specialisation in the Examination Regulations and Outline of Syllabus, issued free to all Registered Students.
EXAMINATION STRUCTURE |
The ACIA Professional Qualifying Examination Structure comprises six Levels, with 6 examination subjects in each Level except the Information Technology Administration which has different structure. The Examination Levels are as follows.
Level I: Foundation Qualifying Examination (FQE)
Level II: Intermediate Qualifying Examination (IQE)
Level III: Professional Qualifying Examination 1 (PQE 1)
Level IV: Professional Qualifying Examination 2 (PQE 2)
Level V: Professional Practice Examination 1 (PPE 1)
Level VI: Professional Practice Examination 2 Final (PPE 2)
ENTRY QUALIFICATION |
Candidates are required to have one of the following qualifications for admission to the ACIA qualifying course.
1. Senior School Certificate or equivalents (WASC, GCE, NECO, etc) with 5 Credit Passes including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at two sittings. Those who do not have complete Credit Passes will be admitted on the condition that they will obtain the required Credits within one year of commencing the course.
2. Diploma in Business Studies (DBS) awarded by Chartered Institute of Administration.
3. Accounting Technician Scheme (ATS) awarded by Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
4. National Diploma (ND) awarded by NBTE-recognised Polytechnics/Monotechnics.
5. National Certificate of Education.
6. Any other qualifications accepted by the Governing Council.
EXEMPTIONS |
Candidates whose qualifications listed in Nos. 2 – 4 above indicate sufficient coverage of ACIA syllabus will be considered for exemptions on subject for subject basis, from some subjects of Levels I and II only.
STUDY PERIOD |
The minimum duration required to complete all Levels I – VI if no exemptions are awarded is six semesters.
DISTANCE LEARNING |
Candidates on our Distance Learning are required to study our simplified Lecture Materials in the comfort of their homes, in consultation with our dedicated Course Tutors who will provide them Study Guide as and when required. The candidates are required to present themselves for the Professional Examinations, when they are ready, at Examination Centres near to them.
THE PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATIONS |
The Professional Examinations are held three times a year, in April, August and December, or on such other dates decided by the College. The Examinations are held at Examination Centres located in several cities throughout the Federation.
AWARD OF B.Sc |
Candidates who successfully complete the ACIA Qualifying Course have at the same time completed the educational requirement for the award of a B.Sc by our international partner University. The award is by direct conversion of ACIA Examination Certificate to B.Sc, without requiring candidates to undertake additional courses of the University.
Interested students will be required to pay conversion fee to the Degree awarding University which is presently ₦300,000.
COURSE FEES |
The following fees will be paid by candidates studying with Nigerian College of Administration, Lagos:
1. Application/Student Registration Form———————————————————– ₦15,000
2. Tuition Fee for each Level of the Programme payable before joining classes:
2.1 Part Time Study——————————————————————————-₦50,000
2.2 Distance Learning—————————————————————————–₦60,000
3. Examination/Exemption Fee per Subject payable before examination registration—–₦5,000
4. Project Research Supervision Fee payable before approval of project topic———–₦15,000
5. Mandatory Terminal Workshop payable on completion of course————————-₦20,000
6. Professional Membership Induction fee to be determined by Governing Council of Chartered Institute of Administration on completion of course.
Candidates studying with Approved Teaching Centres will pay the same fees listed above except tuition fee which is charged by individual teaching centres.
METHOD OF PATMENT |
Candidates should pay all fees by direct cash deposit or transfer into the bank account of Nigerian College of Administration with First Bank (A/c No. 2018190845) or Zenith Bank (A/c No. 1010223085); and thereafter submit the bank deposit/transfer slip to the College for processing.
HOW TO APPLY |
Application Form is obtainable at our offices, as well as at our Approved Teaching Centres or download it on our website; to be completed and returned with bank deposit/transfer slip for non-refundable application fee of ₦15,000; paid direct into the bank account of Nigerian College of Administration with First Bank (A/c No. 2018190845) or Zenith Bank (A/c No 1010223085).

Candidates should process their admissions including payment of tuition fees at least one week before the commencing date of the programme.
